TDOT Wants to Hear From You About Interstate 65

Home Page staff report

The Tennessee Department of Transportation is seeking input from those who commute Interstate 65 as the agency works on a multimodal corridor study.

The I-65 Multimodal Corridor Study is an 18-month study covering a distance of 120.16 miles, from the Alabama state line to the Kentucky state line.  TDOT will be working with drivers, representatives of communities along the roadway, and local officials to collect as much information as possible.

TDOT will work with Gresham, Smith and Partners to complete the study, which will identify short- and long-term solutions for improving problem spots along the corridor.

The department has also made it easy with the creation of a wikimap. Users can pinpoint the problems they face every day as they travel. The tool allows for feedback on segments and intersections/interchanges along the corridor. The project team will use this information to identify deficiencies along the route and guide the final recommendations for the study.

The study is expected to be completed around July 2017.

For those who want to hear and discuss the issues, TDOT will come to Franklin next month to hear from those in Williamson County.
