Cool Springs Galleria expects to be packed this weekend for the annual Tax Free Weekend shopping extravaganza. August 2-4 is Tennessee Tax Free Weekend and this is the perfect time to shop for back-to-school. The State of Tennessee will provide exemptions on most clothing, footwear and school supplies priced under $100 from sales and use taxes. Also tax free, are computers priced at $1500 or less.
“This is a great opportunity for shoppers to take advantage and save even more while they shop for all of their back to school essentials. Many stores will have special offers throughout the weekend in addition to the sales tax discount,” said Dana Katterjohn, Regional Marketing Director for CBL & Associates Properties, Inc.
The Cool Springs Galleria will be open extended hours. On Friday and Saturday, mall hours will be 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday, doors will be open from Noon till 7 p.m. Department store hours may vary. Williamson County Schools are all part of the BYOT (Bring our own Technology) initiative, so stop in to Best Buy Mobile, Apple, or Radio Shack for a laptop or tablet.
