Take a Deep Breath

Every now and again in life, it’s important to take a deep breath! So many of us walk around daily feeling frustrated or anxious. Just taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly can give a sense of relaxation, if only for a moment.

I like to tell my students in my Tae Bo® fitness class to make sure they are breathing and breathing deeply! As they do that, I ask for them to leave it all in the room. Let go of what is bogging you down and leave refreshed. Breathing creates a sense of well-being and focus. It is really important in exercise and stress relief.

However, in dealing with situations, it is vitally important to take a deep breath. Before reacting, take a moment and inhale. Next, close your eyes and exhale. Now, open your eyes. Sometimes, this can mentally help you to see the circumstance differently.

Personally, before I react to a situation, I make an effort to take a step back, or a deep breath and see the other side of the situation. Often times, I have found that this helps me with my patience and how I react.
