Tad Cummins, 50, is wanted on charges of aggravated kidnapping and sexual contact with a minor. He is suspected of kidnapping 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas, who has been missing since March 13th. Despite a  report from Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputies that they believed to see Cummins at a gas station in Collierville Thursday afternoon, the TBI has confirmed that it was not him.

The sighting was reported at a Shell gas station at about 12:30 pm, in which deputies believed Cummins and Elizabeth were in a white van. However, the Memphis Police Department located the owners of the van, who are not related to the case.

Elizabeth was last seen March 13th at a Shoney’s in Columbia. Earlier this week, authorities said the two could be in Mexico or Central America.

The TBI would urge the public to remain vigilant and report any information that may prove beneficial in the ongoing search to 1-800-TBI-FIND.
