Summit no Longer on Lock-Down

UPDATE 1:52PM

Summit High is no longer on lock-down.

Original Story

Summit High School Principal Sarah Lamb sent a message to parents Monday afternoon regarding a threat found on a wall in a girls’ bathroom.

“The school is on lock-down and law enforcement officers have been called to the school. While the school is on lock-down, you will not be able to check out your child. We will notify you when we have more information,” Lamb wrote in the e-mail.

“Any student making a threat will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. In addition, that student will face school discipline. We have the full support of law enforcement and the juvenile court system,” she added.

Lamb advises parents to encourage their children to say something to a trusted adult if they hear or see anything of concern.
