Quickly becoming one of the hottest events in Williamson County, the variety show-style program features beloved musical numbers by surprise special guests, company members and Studio Tenn’s principals, Matt Logan and Jake Speck. Open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres are included with every ticket purchase. New this year, a silent auction will launch online on July 1 and continue through the evening of One Night Only.

Managing Director Jake Speck said “One Night Only” is a uniquely interactive Studio Tenn experience. “For us, it’s an opportunity to engage with our patrons in a different, more personal way,” he said. “We want to show them a good time, of course, but also to share successes and express our gratitude for their continued support, because we wouldn’t be here without it.”

While the specifics of the show are traditionally kept under wraps—it’s all part of the allure—Artistic Director Matt Logan hints, “we are drawing on vintage Vegas glamour as our thematic inspiration this year.” Performers include Studio Tenn veterans Laura Matula, Libby Hodges and John-Mark McGaha, plus special guests whose names remain secret for now.

Galas past have included surprise appearances by Broadway stars Eden Espinosa (Wicked) and Sean Maclaughlin (Phantom of the Opera), a reunion of Studio Tenn’s Smokey Joe’s Cafe cast, and numbers by American Idol’s Melinda Doolittle.

“In contrast with our other shows, which are of course completely scripted and meticulously executed, One Night Only is something of a wild card by design,” said Logan. “You never quite know what’s going to happen; and that’s the fun of it.”

Tickets start at $150 for row seating. Individual table seats are $250. Full tables seat 8 and can be purchased for $2,500 or $3,500. In the Liberty Hall venue, tables will be closest to the action.
“The table experience is going to be really fantastic,” said Speck. “There’s just nothing better than enjoying a great show over great food and drinks with a group of old friends—or making new friends around the table.”

All proceeds from One Night Only benefit Studio Tenn Theatre Company, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Purchases of tickets and auction items are largely tax-deductible.
