Staples, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee and actor Jake T. Austin Jones are teaming up to present the 6th annual Staples for Students national school supply drive. Until September 28th, Staples customers can donate $1 or more at the local stores and all of the donations will benefit local kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs is to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Staples for Students drive supports this mission by helping young people with their return to school preparedness. Drop by the Staples on Mallory Lane and give if you can.

“I’m so excited to team up with Staples and Boys & Girls Clubs of America for this great cause,” said Jake T. Austin. “I’m rallying my fellow teens to get involved to help make a difference in their communities by making sure students have the essential supplies they need to succeed.” To kick-start the campaign, Staples will donate $125,000 worth of school supplies to the program this year. Staples and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America will ensure that all of the donations get to the local Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee in time for the new school year.

“It’s amazing to see teens and customers rally together each year and give back to their local communities for this important cause,” said Alison Corcoran, senior vice president for stores and online marketing at Staples. “With help from teen celebrities like Jake T. Austin to support the great mission of Boys & Girls Clubs, we can ensure that students across the country can start the year off right in the classroom.”
