Stacia Watkins will perform on Saturday, April 15th at Puckett’s in Franklin. A native of Georgia, Stacia Watkins moved to Nashville back in 2010 to pursue music. Watkins started performing at the age of 4 at fairs and pageants throughout her school years and well into college. She was part of 4-H’s performing arts group, Clovers & Company, which spawned other writers and artists such as Sugarland’s leading lady, Jennifer Nettles, and hit songwriter Hillary Lindsey.
After her move to Nashville, Watkins has opened for Jo Dee Messina, Trent Wilmon, and The Lo Cash Cowboys. She’s performed at legendary venues like The Bluebird Café, Tin Pan South, Puckett’s Grocery, Hard Rock Café and most recently at The Station Inn as a guest of Grammy award winning producer/musician Randy Kohrs.
In April of this year, Stacia had the opportunity to audition and perform with Jennifer Nettles, as part of ABC’s Duets and is currently signed with Halestorm Publishing with hit songwriter, T.W. Hale (“Why Haven’t I Heard From You” – Reba McEntire, “A Night To Remember” – Joe Diffie, etc.).
Last year, Watkins released an EP “I Ain’t The Middle Of The Road.” See the video below of Watkins performing “A Good Place to Turn Around.”
