Class AAA  Brentwood v. Munford

Brentwood takes lead in first 1-0 and pitches shutout on way to 4-0 win. Brentwood will take on Blackman today at Siegel. Blackman beat Dobyns-Bennett 11-3 yesterday.

Our Wes Talley was able to talk to Coach Moore after the win.

Q. Not only does your team get the win, but you get the shut out. Can you comment on how your defense and pitching today?

A. (The Defense) was good and Caleb (Pearson) really, didn’t really have his best today, but he did enough. Especially in some jams. We got in some rough spots that he was able to pitch out of, he made the pitches when he had to.

Q. In order to continue to advance in the the tournament, what does your team need to improve in from this game forward?
A. We need to focus on not trying to be something we’re not. Try to stick with being consistent in how we play and not change because we’re here on the big stage. We do that, I like our chances to hang on. We try to be something we’re not, that’s not what got us here.

Class AA Spring Hill 5 Lexington 2

Good start for the Raiders as scored 5 in the second and third innings and got the 5-3 win. They are scheduled to face CAK at Blackman today. CAK won 10-2 over Signal Mountain yesterday.
