Last Update 3/5-Closures, Traffic , Weather

Ok , the snow is still here, and the temps are dropping for the next 40 or so hours, seeing above freezing is not an option, so let’s see how this will impact us:

WEATHER: A Flood Advisory for the Harpeth has been lifted for now. This could be re-examined with temps rising above freezing on Saturday.  Wind chills expected to reach the negatives. A Wind Chill Advisory has been announced.

SCHOOLS: WCS and FSSD are closed tomorrow.  Mac at Cannon Street only open. CPA Closed. Father Ryan Closed. Columbia State Closed. New Hope Academy Closed.

TRAFFIC: Traffic will remain troublesome. With the sun out, it’s a little misleading. this will help with some melting, but temps will drop quickly at sundown, and brining will no longer have an effect. Expect roads to quickly freeze, and secondary roads once “passable” this morning to be impassable this evening. See our article on today’s traffic.

GOV’T : City of Franklin will not pick up trash Friday.Thursday’s route will be picked up Saturday.

EVENTS: Nashville Songwriters Night at Wild Wing Cafe has been Cancelled. Franklin Art Scene Friday night has also been cancelled.

Heading to the Preds game? Here’s an idea of what to expect:

We expect more closings in the morning . We will continue to monitor the situation tonight, we will be up at 4:30 a.m. to bring closures and traffic info.
