Sneak Peek of Studio Tenn’s Steel Magnolias

Steel Magnolias was written by Robert Harling is celebrating 25 years since the film was released.  Studio Tenn let us take a sneak peak at the set which was designed by Matt Logan and Mitch White.  Janie Metts tells us how she searched on Craigslist,  in old abandoned spaces in the  Factory for some true to life props on the set.  Don’t miss the retro hairdryers that all in good working condition.

We also spoke to two cast members, Evelyn O’Neal Brush who play Annelle,  Truvy’s new assistant at the salon.  Evelyn tells what she feels is the best line in the play.  Congratulations goes to Evelyn for being voted the Best Actress in Nashville.  In addition to Evelyn, we spoke to Ruth Cordell who plays Clairee.  A first time actress with a Studio Tenn production  but very familair to theatre by way of Los Angeles.  Ruth now calls Manchester, Tennessee home and is the Director of Speech and Theatre at the  Webb School.
