Six Tennessee Soccer Club Teams Crowned State Champs — Advance to Regionals

The Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) had an impressive showing at The Tennessee State Soccer Championships, held June 3 and 4 at Richard Siegel Soccer Park in Murfreesboro. Six TSC teams were crowned State Champs, one finished as runner-up, and another will be attending the upcoming Regional Championships as the Southern Region Premier League Finalist.

TSC teams advancing to Regionals are as follows.

Champions:

  • 2004 Girls Showcase
  • 2003 Girls Showcase
  • 2002 Girls Showcase
  • 2001 Girls Showcase
  • 1999 Girls Showcase
  • 2003 Boys Showcase

Runner-Up:

  • 2003 Boys Premier

Attending Regionals as Southern Region Premier League Finalist:

  • 2002 Boys Showcase

“We are really looking forward to seeing our teams compete at regionals,” says TSC Executive Director, Stuart Brown. “The players and coaches are excited to compete at the next level. It’s satisfying for them to see all of their hard work pay-off.”

Regional action will take place at the BB&T Soccer Complex at Bryan Park in Greensboro, NC. Opening Ceremonies take place June 22 with games slated to begin the following day.

Last year, TSC won its first National Championship as its U-18 girls team beat Carlsbad Elite 3-0 at the US Soccer National Championships in Frisco, TX. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) honored TSC U-18 Coach Ronnie Woodard as 2016 Girls National Coach of the Year.
