Scam Prevention Class to be Held in Franklin

One in five Americans 65+ has been a victim of scams and fraud cases, sources say. Senior adults are often the target of scams because it’s widely assumed that seniors have a “nest egg”, own their home, or have excellent credit.

An upcoming class, at the Williamson County Main Library, will outline the most popular scams, identify why seniors are targeted, and pinpoint what can be done to prevent these scams from happening to you. Paula Daigle, Directory & Project Manager, Council on Aging of Middle Tennessee will lead the class.

For more than 10 years Paula Daigle has been a part of COA’s efforts to match solutions with unmet needs for senior adults and their caregivers in Middle Tennessee. Paula coordinates and researches information for the Directory of Services for Seniors in addition to coordinating educational programs throughout the mid-state area.

Register for the April 18 event online on the library events website.

The Williamson County Library is located at 1314 Columbia Ave, Franklin, TN 37064.
