Salty Goat Taqueria to Open This Week in Spring Hill

After many months of guests peering in the window wondering about one of Spring Hills’ newest restaurants, the Salty Goat Taqueria located at 2078 Wall Street is set to open this week. They will be open Thursday, April 26 through Saturday, April 28 for limited hours and closed Sunday, April 29.

The restaurant is open Monday-Saturday 5-8pm.

The newest concept by McConnell Hospitality Group joins 55 South in Spring Hill, which opened last month.

“We’re excited to open the doors to McConnell Hospitality Group’s newest concept, which will complete the trifecta of this restaurant ‘campus,’ including 55 South and our friends at Martin’s Bar-B-Q Joint,” said Sharon Davis, director of operations and development at McConnell Hospitality Group. “There is something for everyone at Salty Goat, and we look forward to welcoming guests in for casual Mexican inspired dishes that are perfect for date night, a business lunch or dinner with the whole family.”

Salty Goat Taqueria features authentic yet approachable Mexican cuisine. The menu is split into categories, including starters, sides, traditional tacos, and torta sandwiches. The restaurant will also feature paletas, homemade desserts, Mexican beers and craft cocktails such as margaritas, hibiscus sangria, and a Paloma.

As an insider tip, diners can order a “sangria floater” as a topping to the must-have frozen margarita. The concept is fast-casual, and guests will order and receive food at the counter.

After the order is complete, diners are invited to “dress” their tacos at the salsa bar, which includes six homemade salsas that vary in spice levels, as well as other toppings.

Salty Goat is owned by Jason McConnell, who is also the executive chef and owner of McConnell Hospitality Group. This restaurant continues McConnell’s partnership with Fresh Hospitality, whose other partnerships include Biscuit Love, The Grilled Cheeserie and Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint. The three dynamic restaurants add to the ever-growing community, and the connectivity of the concepts offers diners restaurant options that were not previously available in Spring Hill.

Salty Goat Taqueria is located at 2078 Wall St. in Spring Hill and features 1,900 square-feet, along with outdoor seating in the shared beer garden. The restaurant boasts a colorful interior and fast-casual style dining with outdoor seating in the shared beer garden that connects Salty Goat, 55 South and Martin’s with both indoor and outdoor seating.
