Rock the House: A Benefit & Celebration for Habitat High

Join Habitat for Humanity for a great night of music as they celebrate another successful Habitat High Build! Come enjoy the music of former American Idol stars, as well as Habitat’s own crew leader Carter Green’s family band, Nina of Neptune!

All proceeds benefit the Habitat High Build.

Each year local high schools band together to fundraise, advocate, and build a home with Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury for a family in our community. This program known as Habitat High includes Brentwood, Centennial, Currey Ingram Academy, Franklin, Independence, Ravenwood, and Summit High Schools and is one of the only secondary-level sponsored Habitat for Humanity builds in the nation!

The students began construction on a Columbia home on Feb. 6th. In addition, each school’s Habitat High Club hosts fundraising events to help raise the $70,000 needed to pay for the home’s “bricks and sticks.” These creative events include the “Knock and Deliver” campaign, First Giving peer-to-peer online fundraising, talent shows, and the Rock the House Benefit Concert.
