Williamson County Football

Franklin has done it once again and continued its winning streak.  The Rebels beat Dickson County 16-14 in last night match-up on the Cougar turf.

Beating Clarksville N.E. last week, the Rebels are on a roll, but may have some things to tweak before next week’s game.

Franklin had four turnovers, accumulated over 90 penalties throughout the game, and allowed 150 rushing yards on the defense.

Dickson County was able to put up 7-0 within the first quarter, but the Rebels struck back.

Franklin’s final score came within all of four minutes during the second quarter of the game.  Quarterback Joe Critchlow was able to send off a canon to Luke Hill for a touchdown and put the first seven points up on the board.  Junior kicker Corey Fatony put the Rebels ahead with 47-yard field goal.  WR Carson Young topped off Franklin’s 16-points for the night with an 8-yard touchdown.

The Cougars answered back in the fourth quarter with a 50-yard run into the end zone to bring the final score 14-16.

Franklin will take on McGavock (1-1) at home next Friday night.  The Rebels will kick-off at 7:00 p.m.
