Ravenwood Students Chosen to U.S. All-American Marching Band

Two of Ravenwood High School’s senior band members are considered to be among the top 125 marching band students in the nation.

On Wednesday, Nov. 9, representatives of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl traveled to RHS to present Nicholas Alexander and Mitchell Kiriazes their honorary jackets. Both students were named to the All-American Marching Band after auditioning with hundreds of high school seniors from across the country.

“To me, being a U.S. Army All-American means expressing musical excellence, excellence to others and trying to set a positive example for my peers,” Alexander said.

According to Kiriazes, having two students chosen is a testament to the hard work Ravenwood students put in.

“It is humbling to receive this honor,” he said. “All of the hard work that Ravenwood has put in is showing through our achievement and recognition with the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band.”
