Ravenwood Hosts Color Dash to Benefit Best Buddies

Ravenwood High School is hosting the Color Dash on Saturday, April 1st to benefit Best Buddies.

On-site registration will begin at 9 am with the run taking place at 9:30 am. The two-mile paved course is open to all ages.

All of the proceeds from the event goes to Ravenwood High School’s Best Buddies Chapter and Special Olympics Teams to fund outings, sporting equipment, uniforms, and other activities.

The event will take place rain or shine unless there is lightning in the area. At the end of the race, there will be music and even more color.

Register for the race online, adults 13 and up $15, children 5-12 $10, and kids are under 5 are $2.

Best Buddies is a non-profit organization that pairs students with an intellectual or developmental disability with a student without a disability to form a one-on-one friendship and to promote inclusion. Special Olympics is a non-profit organization that provides sports training and athletic competition for students with an intellectual or developmental disability giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, show courage, and be a part of a team.
