Ravenwood High School Student is Hosting a 5K Fundraiser

Former Woodland Warrior is hosting a fundraising 5K to help raise money for clean water and medical supplies in Africa through Blood:Water Mission.

Annika Sleenhof, a Freshman at Ravenwood, has organized the “Running Water 5K” set for Saturday, March 7th at 8:30 A.M. at Ravenwood High School. Registration for the 5K is $25, which includes chip timing, t-shirts, and age group awards.

Sponsors include Fleet Feet, Whole Foods, Panera, and 9 Fruits. It should be a fun morning running, jogging, or walking for a great cause. You could add 3.1 miles to your Walk across Williamson County mileage!

Annika share more of what prompted her to host a 5K on her  fundraiser page.  She tells how running has been a passion of hers since she was 10 years old and wants to find a way to use her gift of running as a way to give back to others.
