Puckett’s Boat House Introduces ‘Skinny Menu’ and Gluten Free Options

Puckett's BoatHouse Shrimp n Grits

Puckett’s Boat House is making it easy to keep your healthy New Year’s resolution with a new light menu. And for those with wheat allergies, new gluten-free alternatives, makes dining out easy and fun.

The Bout House’s “skinny menu” features steamed mahi mahi, blackened ahi tuna salad, eggplant lettuce wrap with grilled eggplant, salmon wrap with fresh tomato and basil pesto served in a pita shell and more. All “skinny” lunch and dinner dishes will fall under 400 calories!

“Puckett’s Boat House is a family-friendly and community-centered restaurant, and we want to respect all diners: those looking for a treat, and ones who want light dishes,” said Claire Marshall Crowell, director of operations for the Puckett’s family of restaurants. “The cool thing is that this new menu doesn’t take away from what you’ve come to expect at the Boat House. We’re blown away at what our chef [Carlos Garcia] has come up with on this menu.”

In addition to a “skinny” menu, the Boat House is offering gluten-free dishes for those with celiac disease and wheat allergies. These items include Cajun dishes like mojo wings, shrimp and grits, hand-cut Sanibel salmon fillet, grilled grouper and more, including a plethora of sides.

You can also order a figure friendly dessert! Try their gluten free chocolate mousse pie–the crust is comprised of pecans and dates instead of flour and  the pie is lightly sweetened with agave nectar.

Puckett’s Boat House is open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. To learn more, go to www.puckettsboathouse.com.
