Preds Cup Set, GNASH Finals on Monday

The GNASH semifinals on Wednesday night narrowed the ice down to two teams: Ravenwood will play Montgomery Bell Academy for the Predators Cup, the GNASH top-tier championship, on Monday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at the Ford Ice on 5264 Hickory Hollow Parkway.

Dylan Moulton started things off for the Raptors, scoring the first goal of the game. Defenseman Morgan Wang put Ravenwood up again and for good in the second period, in which they scored six goals. Moulton hit net again on a back-hand shot, followed by Jake Walker with a slap. Trey Prefanis scored in the second, and again in the third with the last goal of the game. Matt Downey and Colin Hedge also scored goals in the second period.

Ravenwood and MBA played each other twice this year. The first time to a tie and the second time a 2-2 tie after two periods turned into a 4-3 MBA victory. In other words, these two squads are very evenly matched.
