Pets of the Week: Theda Bara and Samantha Fox

The Williamson County shelter is just past the halfway point of the ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge which ends August 31. Director Laura Chavarria reported that the shelter has been gaining ground in the competition over the past few weekends, and she wants to make July 26 another banner day. “Our record for most adoptions in a single day is 31,” she stated,” and we would love to surpass that on Saturday.”
The shelter has taken in a record number of animals since June 1, and many of those are kittens and puppies now available for adoption. A number of adult and senior pets are also looking for homes. Adoption fees have been paid for by local sponsors, so there are no fees to the adopters. An approved adoption application is required.
