Old Dominion Plays at Franklin Theatre

If you haven’t heard of the band Old Dominion, certainly you have heard their latest hit “Break Up with Him” and if that doesn’t ring a bell, well let us help you out.  Old Dominion Band is a band made up of songwriters.  Most who reign from Virginia taking the nickname of the state as their band name, Old Dominion.

Members of the  band consists of Matthew Ramsey (lead vocals), Trevor Rosen (guitar, keyboards), Whit Sellers (drums), Geoff Sprung (bass guitar), and Brad Tursi (guitar).

Songwriting credits include songs recorded by county music artist.  Matthew Ramsey co-wrote “Chainsaw” for The Band Perry and co-wrote with Trevor Rosen on Craig Morgan’s “Wake Up Lovin’ You” and Dierks Bentley’s “Say You Do”. Rosen also co-wrote Chris Young’s “Neon” and The Band Perry’s “Better Dig Two”, while Tursi has written Tyler Farr’s “A Guy Walks Into a Bar” as well as songs for Kenny Chesney, the Randy Rogers Band, and for the ABC musical drama, Nashville.

Often referred to as “the next big thing” in country music, the band has made as great strides as a band taking  ownership of the No. 1 song in Country music.  Their GOLD-certified hit song “Break Up With Him” held the No. 1 seat for the second week in a row on the Billboard/BDS Country Airplay chart in addition to reaching the No. 1 position on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country chart. Old Dominion will be playing at the Franklin Theatre tonight to benefit the Autism Education Center, a division of the Autism Foundation of Tennessee (AFT). The AFT has served over 225 children and provided thousands of hours of therapy and support for children ages 2 – 20 in the Nashville and Clarksville area since 2007. A few tickets still remain for the show. Ticket prices range from $55-$65.
