Richard Desruisseau, age 80, of Spring Hill, Tenn., passed away Dec. 13, 2016.
He was born and raised in New Bedford, Mass., and worked for more than 30 years for IBM in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Manasas, Va., and Burlington, Vt. He was an avid sportsman and long-time youth sports coach. He was an active member of the Elks lodge #2609 in Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and was active in the Senior Center after relocating in Spring Hill, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by parents, Lorenzo and Flora Renaud Desruisseau; brother, Leo Desruisseau. He leaves his loving wife, Claudette Lebeau Desruisseau; sons, Richard (Lucy) and Andrew (Sandra) Desruisseau; daughters, Anne Desruisseau, Luanne (John) Murphy, Christine (Heath) Tong and Cheryl Howard; sister, Claire (Bert) Desrosiers; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A funeral Mass will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at the Church of the Nativity. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Maury County.
