Norman Lee Hurd, age 80 departed this life on April 19, 2017 at his home.
Norman was a veteran of the Korean War. He served four years in the Air Force and two years in the Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 22 in Franklin, TN. He worked most of his life as a communications engineer.
A member of Lifehouse church in Spring Hill, TN. He enjoyed traveling, working in the garden and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Preceded in death by parents, Chester Hurd and Mildred Roy Hurd; sister, Sandy Campbell. He leaves behind his loving wife, Kathy Hurd; seven children, Alan, Patricia, David, Deborah, Brett, Christopher and Jeremy Hurd; step-children, Sanford Brotzman, Sherry Thompson, Tammy Taylor and Terry Caughron; siblings, Larry, Stephen, Philip Hurd and Josie Henshaw; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Lifehouse Church in Spring Hill, TN. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Thistle Farms, 5122 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN 37209.
