96 years young…and boy was she! Beautiful inside and out. Loving wife and mother. Now in the presence of her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. At the age of 5 it was determined that she had an incredible talent for music (piano) and was classically trained until her senior year in high school. Loved playing in contests and duets with friends. Also played for the men’s club in Clarksdale MS, Rotary Club and various other groups.

She attended the Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus, MS. She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church in Memphis where she participated in bible study fellowship and was a leader in community bible study. In addition to music, she loved reading history, travel, modeling at Chickasaw Country Club and for Memphis Cotton Wives.

Preceded in death by her husband, George B. Martin, Jr.; survived by daughter, Nancy McLain Martin of Franklin; son George B. III (Jeannine) Martin of Franklin; grandchildren, Aubrey (Aaron) Spalding of Louisville, KY, Abigayle (Andrew) Provost of Nashville and Jonathan D. Martin of Nashville; great grandchildren, Ava Grace and Ella Mae Spalding (Louisville), Emily Virginia and Claire McLain Provost (Nashville).

Memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 PM Saturday, April 1, 2017 with visitation two hours prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin, TN. Memorials may be made to Forest Hills Baptist Church Missions, Nashville, TN.
