Michelle Lee Vlaco Whitson, age 51 of Fairview, TN passed away July 16, 2017. She was a loving daughter, wife, friend, teacher, but most importantly a 100% loving and devoted mother.
Michelle was born in Nashville, TN and was a 1984 graduate of Hillwood High School. She later received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville and her Master’s Degree from Trevecca University. Michelle’s passion and gift was teaching, she was a kindergarten teacher at Grace Christian Academy and loved her kids. Michelle and her family attended Grace Chapel.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Mont Whitson; sons, Jordan Whitson and Nicholas Whitson all of Fairview, TN; parents, Nick & Jean Vlaco of Fairview, TN; sister, Renae (Chris) Campbell of Fairview, TN; brothers & sisters in-law, Brenda (Walter) Thomas of Franklin, TN, Glenda (Scott) Webster of Franklin, TN, Elizabeth (Jim) Ganus of Bon Aqua, TN, Michael (Liza) Reeder of Dickson, TN & Gina (Virgil) Gammon of Murfreesboro, TN; many loving nieces & nephews and her beloved family pet, Scooter.
Celebration of Life will be held 3:00PM Saturday, July 22, 2017 with visitation two hours prior to the service at Grace Chapel. Rick Cua officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Faculty & Staff of Grace Christian Academy. Memorials may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research and Fund Alliance at www.ocrfa.org.
