Joe Carl Brown, age 62, of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at his residence.
Joe was born on December 19, 1954 in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Bill Brown and the late Martha Howell Brown. He was married to the love of his life Edie Harville Brown. He was a good man who was always kind, loving and sensitive. He enjoyed studying and sharing God’s word and was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. Joe was always willing to put his faith into action and help anyone, and he never met a stranger. He was an electrician by trade.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Edie who will miss him all the days of her life. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Joe will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Rev. Bob Vassar and Rev. John Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Mobley Ridge Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, June 25 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.
John Harville, Tim Peden, Mitchell Jennette, Glen Tilghman, Danny Collins, Jacob Wise, Robbie Wise and Scott Tilghman will serve as pallbearers.
