Jeanette Reedy died Thursday, April 20th, 2017 at Grace Healthcare in Franklin, TN.

Jeanette was born in 1933 in Eagen, TN. Growing up, she attended Henderson Settlement where she was on the cheerleading squad and and the Sunbonnet Quartet. With the quartet, she traveled the country singing at churches, once appearing on the CBS show, “We The People.”

Jeanette graduated Hiwassee College in Madisonville, TN, and taught school before becoming a stay-at-home mom to her three small children. She re-entered the workforce working in the pediatric office of Dr. Fred Weller in Middlesboro, KY. She went back to school and graduated from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, TN getting her Bachelors degree at age 53.

Jeanette loved singing, square dancing and clogging and was part of the cast of the play “The Song Of The Cumberland Gap” during its stint at the Pine Mountain Amphitheater in Pineville, KY. But family was always the most important thing to Jeanette. She frequently had extended family over for Sunday Suppers, which would fill the East Tennessee hills with laughter and hymns sung in beautiful harmony with her sisters, Joyce, Doris June and Shirley. Later in life, Jeanette moved to Spring Hill, TN to be closer to her grand children.

She is survived by her son Mark Reedy and his wife Vickie Reedy of Maitland, FL, her son Greg Reedy of Orlando, FL, her daughter Shari Isbell and her husband Chris Isbell of Brentwood, TN, her grandsons Matthew Isbell, Alex Isbell and Cameron Reedy and her granddaughter Hali Reedy, her sisters Joyce Partin of Frakes,KY and Doris June Neeley of Kingsport, TN and her brother Jimmy Leach of Frakes, KY.

She will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 23rd, 2017 from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin, TN.
