Nolensville, Brentwood Ranked Best Nashville Suburbs

Brentwood and Nolensville topped the list on movoto.com for the top 10 best Nashville suburbs.

Brentwood was ranked the #1 best Nashville suburb, not only because of the short commute and low unemployment rate, but also because of availability of 860 acres of greenways and parks as well as the number of big name retail stores.

Nolensville got the #2 slot mainly due to the low crime rate and standard of living score coupled with the small town community vibe that Nolensville is known for.

Thompson’s Station also made the list at #5. With the lowest crime ranking of all and a standard of living score ranking just below Brentwood and Nolensville, it may just have been that long commute that set Thompson’s Station at the middle of the top 10 list.

The #8 slot went to Spring Hill based on the low unemployment rate and good standard of living.

Movoto looked at places within 40 miles of Nashville with at least 50 business listings.
Their study was based on these factors:

  • Amenities per capita
  • Standard of living (cost of living, median home value, median rent, median household income, and high school graduation rate)
  • Total crimes per 100k
  • Unemployment rate
  • Average commute time
