NFC Gets Win, Plays At Home Again Sunday Night

Nashville FC defeated Georgia Revolution 2-0 at Vanderbilt University Football Stadium on Friday, in its first win of the 2015 National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) Season. Roberto Pimental led Nashville FC to victory, scoring a goal within the first two minutes of the game, and a second just before halftime.
“The guys played very well in the first half. We succeeded in possessing the ball and creating attacking chances out of that,” said Nashville FC Associate Head Coach Kyle Roelke. “Roberto scored two very good goals and we defended well to limit Georgia’s offensive chances. Overall, it was a solid win.”
On Sunday, Nashville FC will join the nation in remembering men and women in the military who were killed in active duty. The club will offer free admission into tomorrow’s game against the Derby City Rovers to all servicemen and servicewomen for Memorial Day. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on May 24, at Vanderbilt Football Stadium. The first 500 fans will also get a free American flag.
Adult tickets may still be purchased for $9 at the door, or in advance at NashvilleFC.net.

ABOUT NASHVILLE FC:
Nashville FC is a non-profit, supporter-based soccer organization, with a seat in the NPSL, providing fans a unique experience to personally participate in the direction of the franchise. Instead of a majority owner, the organization relies on a supporter-elected board to help guide the club’s future. Without the financial investment of primarily one individual or one large corporation to help absorb the cost of day-to-day operations, Nashville FC instead relies on membership fees and multiple partnerships with local companies.
ABOUT NPSL:
The National Premier Soccer League is a national league that operates in the 4th Division of the U.S. Soccer Pyramid. NPSL teams are eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA). The NPSL is the fastest growing soccer league in North America, operating in 80+ markets. Two Major League Soccer clubs (D.C. United, New York Red Bulls) and four North American Soccer League clubs (Minnesota United, Carolina RailHawks, Atlanta Silverbacks, Oklahoma City FC) operate teams in the NPSL.
