A pair of Nashville transplants have struck viral gold with their latest video titled, “Welcome to Nashville.” It hit the internet last weekend and has been trending locally ever since.

Cincinnati natives Colin Cooper and Austin Bever tour Nashville and its surrounding areas, poking fun at some of the ways locals live their lives. Williamson County is mentioned twice in the video. Brentwood in particular is pointed out for having overly ambitious police officers.

“I feel like we’ve been here long enough to at least develop some sort of stereotype in our mind about all of the different areas,” said Cooper. “Austin’s wife, who grew up here, has always agreed that the cops are a little anal.”

At first glance you might think Cooper and Bever are not fans of Music City, U.S.A. However, they’ve been calling it home for the past six years now and want to make it clear that couldn’t be further from the truth.

“We hope that people agree with us and are not offended by some of the things we said because we absolutely love it here,” said Cooper. “No city is perfect but we still love it here even though it’s not perfect.”

Cooper says he and Bever have received mostly positive feedback since uploading the video to YouTube. They say most of the negativity has come from people who were upset about their neck of the woods being left out.

“A lot of people wished that we had mentioned Antioch,” Cooper admits. “But we had to cut a little bit out to keep it under four minutes. Otherwise we would have had a ten minute video.”
