Summit, Community to Remember Max Hollis at Stadium on Thursday

UPDATE: Due to tomorrows forecasted weather the Celebration of Life for Max will be moved to Friday at 3:30 at the Summit High Football Field

Summit High School and the Spring Hill community will celebrate the life and mourn the death of one of their own this week.

Maxwell “Max” Tate Hollis, 15 of Spring Hill, passed at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital after falling off of a car in Spring Hill on Sunday evening.  He was a sophomore and on the football team at Summit High School.

His celebration of life service will be held at 3:30 p.m. now on Friday, not Thursday, at the Summit High School Football Field. Michael Pence will officiate. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Summit High School Football Team.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Spring Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Max Hollis Memorial Fund at Trinity Church, 3011 Longford Dr. Spring Hill, TN 37174.

In the two days since Hollis passed, the community has responded with a GoFundMe account, a meal drive and various statements of support.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, James Barber and grandmother, Brenda Barber.

He is survived by his parents, David and Karrie Hollis; sister, Sydney Hollis; grandfather, David (Millie) Hollis; grandmother, Donna Hollis; great-grandmother, Loretta Young; aunt, Kim (Tim) Houlne; uncle, Grant (Morgan) Davis; cousins, Nick Houlne and Jack Houlne and many countless friends.
