An announcement was made this morning at the Country Music Hall of Fame that Big Machine Label Group and Martina McBride teamed up with the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center to announce Band Against Cancer.
1.7 million Americans were diagnosed with cancer last year. “By banding together,we have the opportunity to do something for those in the fight of their life,” said Dee Anna Smith,CEO Sarah Cannon Research Institute.
Band Against Cancer is a cancer awareness initiative activated through a concert series, The Sarah Cannon Tour, featuring Martina McBride and other country music artists. At each concert, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in Band Against Cancer through special on-site activities. It unites survivors, patients, families, friends, artists, music fans, cancer experts and advocates in communities across the country in the fight against cancer. Through collective efforts, we can help patients access high quality treatment and research options close to home.
