MADE SOUTH, a Tennessee based “southern love” delivery service, is introducing its first Makers Market September 10 – 12. Three events will showcase 90+ makers and artisans from eight southern states. The Supper & Songwriters event will be held from 6 – 10 p.m. Thursday at Carnton Plantation. Harlinsdale Farm will be hosting Friday’s BBQ & Bourbon Market Presale from 6 – 10 p.m. and Saturday’s Makers Market from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. It’s the events that Southern Living called “The South’s Newest Can’t Miss Event.”

Taste New Orleans signature cocktails from Donner-Peltier Distillers and cuisine from five local Nashville chefs such as Lockeland Table’s Executive Chef Hal Holden-Bache at Thursday night’s event. Three of Nashville’s hit songwriters will also be joining Thursday’s festivities to share some of their favorite songs and stories.

Friday, attendees will experience a first look at the Makers Market during the BBQ & Bourbon Market Preview event. Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint will be providing a spread of traditional southern dishes alongside three mixologists who will craft bourbon cocktails, provided by Buffalo Trace Distillery, to pair with the meal.

Saturday’s Makers Market will give patrons the chance to experience the growing community of southern artisans and makers. Shop the market for local and regional handmade goods while enjoying music handpicked by New York Times bestselling author Robert Hicks.
“Our goal with this event is to create a community of people who love the South and love supporting local and regional small businesses,” says Christopher Thomas Founder of MADE SOUTH. “We are creating an event that will significantly impact the local economy and benefit the 90+ southern small businesses that are participating.”

Tickets can be purchased at www.MADESOUTH.com/events and ten percent of proceeds will benefit the new Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital of Vanderbilt at Williamson Medical Center.
