Lotz House Dubbed Top Franklin Attraction

The travel website, TripAdvisor, has named the Lotz House, a Civil War historic house museum, as Franklin’s #1 attraction for the fourth year in a row.

The Lotz House is located at 1111 Columbia Pike in Franklin. This location is the known as the “epicenter” of the November 30, 1864 Battle of Franklin, and the Lotz House has been on the National Historic Register since 1976.

“There is an immense amount of history in this home, and everyone on our staff is eager to share the information with our guests,” said J.T. Thompson, tour guide and overseer of the Lotz House. “It is such an amazing feeling to know that our passion is being recognized by our patrons at TripAdvisor. We do everything we can to ensure that visitors receive an educational and enjoyable experience when visiting the Lotz House.”

The Lotz House is open Monday – Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. or by appointment. Tours offered are Battlefield Walking Tours, Lotz House Tours, Cellar Tours, and McGavock Confederate Cemetery Tours.
