Brentwood Athlete Makes Team USA Youth Volleyball Squad

Logan Eggleston

A Brentwood High School soon-to-be sophomore made the cut last week for USA Volleyball’s Girls Youth National Team.

Logan Eggleston, who helped lead the Bruins to a state championship this spring before making the AAU All-American squad and the JVA All-National team, competed last week among a nation-wide field of 24 for 12 spots on the USA roster.

“We found out last week, who made the cut and who didnt,” Eggleston said. “I am excited to go to Puerto Rico in August to compete in the worlds- qualifying round.”

USA Volleyball officials held a try out in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in mid July.

Eggleston and her 11 other teammates will compete internationally starting August 30 against other under-16 teams.

She was the only athlete from Tennessee to make the team.

In addition to playing for Brentwood, Eggleston played club volleyball with Alliance Volleyball for the past three years.

Two other local players who also play for alliance, Morgan Carter and Gracie Pedersen, also represented Team USA earlier this summer in the 14s age bracket: Both were in the USA High Performance Championships as members of the USA Continental Team.
