Location & Architecture Make This Community Stand-Out

neighborhood of the week

From the corner of Franklin Road to Granny White Pike in Brentwood is land that was once a plantation owned by the McGavock Family. In fact, the McGavock’s original house still stands today and is used as a clubhouse at nearby Brentwood Country Club.

The prestigious community of McGavock Farms was built on the original land beginning in 1990, with the last phase being completed in the mid 2000’s. The neighborhood now features 199 spacious homes, ranging in size from approximately 4,000 to 15,000 square feet.

The well-manicured community includes mostly level yards with lot sizes that vary from one-half acre to 4.6 acres. A variety of architectural designs in McGavock Farms make it unique, ranging from traditional brick, to mortar-rubbed exteriors, to French and Italian country influences.

“McGavock Farms is a development that is one of the top five most preferred developments in the the Brentwood area,” says Realtor Judy Williams with Crye-Leike Realtors. ” This development continues to be one of the most highly sought after neighborhoods. Granny White Park is next door and Deerwood Aboredum and Park is only about one mile away.”

Close to I-65, Williams adds, “It is 10 minutes to downtown Franklin and about 15 minutes to downtown Nashville. It is loved for the friendly residents and the location to the schools.”
