Local Teams In Girls’ Soccer State Tournament

Three teams will represent the Williamson County area in the girls’ soccer state tournament this week. The four TSSAA tournaments will take place this week at the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex in Murfreesboro from October 28-31. Williamson County area programs will be in the Division II Class A state tournament and the Class A/AA state tournament. Page will play Wednesday night at 6:30 against Jackson Christian. CPA will play Wednesday night at 7:00 against Chattanooga Christian. BGA will play Friday afternoon at 4:00 against St. George’s.

Division II East/Middle Region

  • Franklin Road Academy was eliminated from postseason play in the Division II-A Sub-State to St. George’s 2-0.
  • Father Ryan fell in the Division II-AA quarterfinals to #1 Briarcrest Christian 1-0.
  • BGA advanced to the state tournament by beating St. Mary’s Episcopal 3-1 in Division II-A Sub-State. The Wildcats will open against St. George’s.

Class AAA District 11

  • Independence avenged their District 11 loss to Brentwood by beating the Bruins 1-0 for the Region 6 championship. The Lady Eagles were eliminated in the Class AAA sectionals by Hendersonville 3-1.
  • Brentwood fell in the Region 6 championship to Independence 1-0, then were eliminated in the Class AAA section to Clarksville 2-1.

Class A/AA District 12

  • CPA won the Region 6 Championship over Page 6-1, then topped White House Heritage 2-1 to advance to the Class A/AA state tournament. The Lions will open the tournament facing Chattanooga Christian.
  • Page fell to CPA in the Region 6 Championship by a score of 6-1. The Lady Patriots then topped White House 4-3 in the section round to advance to the Class A/AA state tournament. Page will open the tournament against Jackson Christian.
