Cowart shared his life story with his followers on Facebook, a look at his past, present and future, starting with telling how he grew up in Hendersonville. Sharing how his aptitude test was very low and feeling like these two words were part of his vocabulary : I can’t”. But through the support of his parents he learned to say “I can”. Attending college for art, his parents encouraged him to focus on  graphic design.

A journey from graphic design led to photography with a 3 megapixel camera in hand and a book called Digital Photography for Dummies led to a successful business. After his photographer business skyrocketed, Cowart has now published four photography books.

Named as one of the most influential photographers by Huffington Post, Cowart started giving away photos for a project called “Help Portrait” which has now reached around the world with photographers collectively giving away photos on the first Saturday in December.  Cowart has also been a part of the St Thomas campaign “Nothing Shall be Impossible” which was nominated for an Emmy.

Recently launching SEE University, Cowart shares everything he knows to date about photography. In this series you can learn all about a photo shoot, photoshop, and everything pertaining to photography.

But his latest project is not necessarily related to photography. Cowart wants to build a hotel called The Purpose Hotel. Not just a hotel but a global hotel chain. Every room in this hotel will sponsor a child. Room keys will sponsor Giving Keys, there will be a functioning well in the lobby, the furniture and art will benefit a cause so that your stay will impact lives globally. Cowart is attempting to Crowd Fund this hotel. Visit the Purpose Hotel website. Mark your calendars for May 17,2016 the day the Kickstarter will be launching where the first hotel will be built on the internet.
Cowart says the word “Impossible actually spells  I’m Possible.”
