Area Schools Clean Up Girl’s Division II-A Golf Championships

This week, the TSSAA Division II schools headed to Willowbrook Golf Course in Manchester for the Division II state titles. Local Schools participated in both the A and AA classifications. Father Ryan represented Division II-AA, while golfers from FRA and BGA competed at the A level.

In Division II-A, BGA won the team state championship, while FRA’s Angelina Chan took home the individual crown. Chan would win the individual crown by 2 strokes, finishing 8 over par on the strength of a 1 over par performance on day 1. Other notable individual performers included BGA’s Rachel Arvizu, who tied for 4th, 6 strokes off the lead and BGA’s Hannah Wright, who tied for 6th, 8 strokes off the lead.

BGA took home the II-A team championship, finishing a combined +50 over two days. The Wildcats finished 2 strokes ahead of second place St. Mary’s. FRA would finish 3rd as a team, 7 strokes off BGA’s winning score.

On the Division II-AA side, Father Ryan finished 4th as a team. The Irish were led by Liv Cunningham, who finished 9th at 22 over par for the tournament and Aubrey Frantz, who finished 14th at 32 over par.
