Passport to the World Series

Visit Mexico without leaving Franklin!  The meeting room at the Main library will be transformed into the United Mexican States, where you will experience that country’s culture, music and food.  This Passport event will be presented by Karin Gabriela Lopez Reyna and friends.  Save the date!Sponsored by Sister Cities of Franklin & Williamson County and the Williamson County Public Library.

Seed Savers Unite!

Gardeners, do you want to save vegetable and flower seeds for planting next year? Amy Dismukes, the Horticulture Extension Agent for Williamson County, will teach us the basics of seed saving.  She will focus primarily on warm-season vegetables and on collection from specific vegetable crops.  She will be joined by Tina Manion who will provide hands-on demonstrations for saving a variety of flower seeds.

Upcoming Preschool Story Times
Preschool Story Time for ages 2 – 5 years (everyone welcome), is held on Thursdays at 10:00 am. Story Time includes books, finger-plays, action rhymes, and flannel board stories. Story Time is always followed by a related craft. Check out the next story time, September 18, when the Nashville Ballet presents Swan Lake.

Special guest,Patrick Slota, will bring his motorized Lego creations. A club for kids age 4 and up who love to create and build. The library supplies the Legos®, you supply the imagination. No children under 4 due to choking hazard.

Brentwood Firefighter and Engine Visit!

An engine visit is a great way to teach kids fire safety while having fun! Children can learn what firefighters do and get to climb inside the cab. Visit is dependent on firefighter’s call schedule. No registration required.
