Library Programming, Better than Ever

Don’t miss your chance to join the writer’s critique group on Saturday, January 19th at the main library. This adult gathering of writers provides serious and courteous critique of member’s work. Also for literary fans is a Romance Author Panel on Thursday, January 24th. The panel of published author’s will speak on a variety of topics including their writing, careers, latest endeavors and publishing. Join Trish Milburn, Kim Law, Jenna Bennett, & Angela Britnell from 6:30-8 p.m.

Friday is morning movie day at 11 a.m. on January 25th. The will present what the American Film Institute called, “One of the funniest movies of all time.”  Starring the Marx Brothers and directed by Sam Wood. Come watch Groucho, Chico, and Harpo as they literally tear down the opera.

Robert Burns Birthday Concert by Iain Macpherson with Rick Jackson is at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 27th. Join as they celebrate the 254th birthday of Scottish national poet and lyricist Robert Burns with a concert featuring his songs and poems.  Tenor Iain Macpherson, a native of Scotland, will present a selection of Burns’ songs, some sung in the original dialect in which Burns wrote them.  Macpherson will be accompanied by Rick Jackson, assistant organist at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Franklin.
