Lacrosse: Irish Off to Good Start

Brentwood

The Bruins lacrosse team, coached by Chuck Catterton, are 3-2 on the early season. Back on March 8th, Brentwood played a tight one with Houston High School, where two goals in the 4th quarter lifted them to the 7-6 victory.  They are coming off a 9-5 loss to Montgomery Bell

Centennial

Led by head coach Tom Hagan, the Wildcats are 3-3 so far and are coming off of a crushing 10-9  overtime loss to Pope John Paul II. Sophomore, Suurnen Bossuah led Centennial with 4 goals in the game.

Father Ryan

The Fightin’ Irish are off to 5-2 start in 2014  which includes a win down in Alabama over Hoover. Father Ryan won that game 8-7 with the game winning goal coming in the fourth quarter. Junior Patrick Lynch scored 4 times in the contest.

Franklin

The Rebels are not off to the best of starts. Standing at 0-4, Franklin High School has struggled. Their last contest saw them fall to conference foe Ravenwood by a score of 14-2. They play Father Ryan tomorrow at 7:00.

Ravenwood

The Raptors are 1-1 so far in the season. We already know about their 14-2 walloping of Franklin. Their one loss came to Father Ryan in a 9-5 final. Head Coach Corey Geroy will lead his team to Pope John Paul II at 6:00 tomorrow.
