Karen Kane to Visit Belk as Part of Grand Re-opening

Belk

Belk is celebrating the grand re-opening its new flagship store at Cool Springs Galleria in Franklin, Tennessee. The 185,000-square-foot-store went through a two-phase expansion, starting with the opening of a new stand-alone men’s and kids store in March 2015 and is celebrating the grand re-opening October 14 with Belk gift card giveaways, live music by local artists and Southern Musician Showcase winner Paul Wayne Pierce, a Karen Kane Fashion show and much more. The festivities begin at 9:15 a.m.

The $12.6 million investment in the Cool Springs Galleria project allowed for an increased assortment of premium brands and enhanced customer amenities. Belk’s home store, formerly in two separate locations, is expanded and has been relocated to an 18,000-square-foot space on the second level. Selling space in the main store, formerly men’s and kids, has been reallocated to expand women’s apparel, shoes, accessories, handbags and jewelry. The ladies shoe department has nearly doubled in size. The cosmetics department is also a highlight of the new store with expanded selling space, open displays and updated fixtures.

“We invite everyone to come see the exciting changes we’ve made at our store. We’ve created an even better shopping experience for our loyal customers in the Franklin community,” said Becky Blair, Belk’s regional vice president of Huntsville/Central Tennessee. “We believe customers will love the new brands and style assortments that we’ve added throughout the store.”

The flagship store is offering new and/or expanded brands including Free People and Lilly Pulitzer ladies apparel; MAC, Bobbi Brown, Chanel, and Tory Burch makeup shops; Philosophy and Versace fragrances; Tumi and Hartmann luggage; All Clad, LeCreuset and Calphalon cookware; Breville, Nespresso and Vitamix kitchen electronics; Jessica Simpson and Tommy Hilfiger bedding; Under Armour shoes; Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Trina Turk jewelry; Coach, Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Brighton handbags.

Chip and Pepper     Chip and Pepper

Leading up to the Grand Opening, Belk hosted a Girls Night Out event where jean designers, Chip and Pepper made a store appearance. Chip and Pepper visited the Franklin Belk location back in 2013. As one of the few jeans companies which is still family owned, they are still holding strong to their commitment of offering a quality pair of jeans at an affordable price.  There is one change that we noticed when the twin brother designers made their appearance in the store-they have lost their long locks for new shorter hair styles. They cut their locks off for a charity event.  We like the new look. What do you think?
