Jonathan Jackson’s Restaurant Opens Over Weekend

Jonathan Jackson

Jonathan Jackson from the hit show ‘Nashville’ opened Jack and Jameson’s Smokehouse in Franklin over the weekend.

Jackson is currently known for his role on the TV show “Nashville,” but 15 years ago he and longtime friend Steve Burton met in Hollywood, when they were both acting in “General Hospital.” Their families and their love for music are the driving motivations behind their new restaurant.

And while we don’t have an update on whether there will be a grand opening, we hope to receive more information regarding the menu and music that will be offered in the venue.

We can tell you based on the Facebook information, Jack & Jameson’s Smokehouse will be operated by Ricky Shannon who also ran operations for Mickey Roos. Clues to the menu has trickled out mentioning 20 beers on tap with burgers and bbq on the menu.

Already there have been a few reviews posted to their Facebook page stating, “My husband and I both had the brisket on a pretzel bun which was delicious; the BBQ sauce and ketchup both seemed homemade and had tons of flavor. Our kids ate all of their pork sandwich and Mac and Cheese (which is a miracle). Overall it was a really great experience and we’ll definitely be back!”

“Very nice place! Had a bison burger and Tennessee cheese steak! Both were very good, although I’d skip the tomato and lettuce and add more pepper and onions to the cheese steak. Great place! Will go back.”

Hours of operation are: Monday-Thursday 11am-11pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-12am and Sunday 11am-9pm. Follow them on Facebook for more updates.

Jack and Jameson’s is located at 509 Hillsboro Road.
