Jim Parker, Jill Colucci and Jim “Moose” Brown at Puckett’s This Saturday

Jim Parker has hosted a Songwriter’s Showcase at the Von Braun Center in Hunstville, Alabama since 2005. He’s had huge personal success when in 1978 he received ASCAP Songwriter’s Award for “I’ve Got A Feelin,” recorded by John Anderson on Warner Brothers Records. John Anderson’s first Warner Brothers release remained on Billboard’s National charts for 11 weeks peaking in the top 20s. In 1981 he also won BMI Songwriters Award for “Chicken Truck,” recorded by John Anderson on Warner Brothers Records. This song reached #8 in the nation on the Billboard country charts and is currently on John Anderson’s 1st Greatest Hits album.

Jill Colucci’s musical gift was apparent at a young age as she sang along with the family’s Brenda Lee albums. She and her brother Jay were a brother and sister team, with Jay on the accordion. By age seven, they were winners of the weekly televised talent competition on the Gene Carroll Show on WEWS in Cleveland, Ohio. Jill continued on and became a regular entertainer on the program for the following ten years. She formed her own band after graduating from high school, touring for two years as drummer and lead vocalist. Jill eventually moved to California where success was quick to follow, as she earned work as a vocalist, and developed her songwriting.

Her slightly raspy singing voice has been a fixture on television and was sought out by major film studios, television producers and national commercial producers. For three consecutive years, she sang ABC’s network theme song “Something’s Happening Here on ABC .” She sang Kenny Loggin’s “Celebrate Me Home” for the Disney Channel’s theme. She is the songwriter and vocalist for ABC’s “America’s Funniest Home Videos” theme song entitled “The Funny Things You Do.”  Her national TV and radio commercials include Toyota, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Coors Beer, Burger King, Oldsmobile, Taco Bell, Chevrolet, Glidden Paint and more.
