How Hurricane Irma Will Affect Our Weather

While the remnant of Hurricane Irma straggles its way up northwest from Florida later this weekend and early next week, Middle Tennessee will see nothing like the effects of Hurricane Harvey last week.

The current extended forecast by the National Weather Service calls for no chance of rain until Tuesday, and even then not much.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. North northeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. North wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Tuesday
Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 67. North wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Tuesday Night
A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 58.

Wednesday
A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70.

Wednesday Night
A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58.
