Homestead Manor’s Inaugural Harvest Festival Set for Next Friday

Harvest Festival

Homestead Manor is celebrating the fall season Friday, Oct. 14, by hosting its inaugural Harvest Festival – a day-long event featuring hayrides, children’s games, a barn dance and more.

Sponsored in part by Nashville Event Lighting, Premier Entertainment Company and Harpeth True Value Garden Center, the circa 1819 property in Thompson’s Station is inviting the public to attend a curated fall carnival from 2-6 p.m. that will offer free activities for the entire family. Guests can expect to enjoy a hay maze, face painting, pumpkin decorating, hayrides, pay-to-play games and an array of other seasonal offerings.

Those who participate will also have the chance to watch Dave Rogan, of the Leiper’s Fork Carving Club, sculpt pumpkins into pieces of art, as well as experience live, acoustic music from Joanna Yaeger and Radio Farm.

Then once the sun sets over the afternoon’s festivities, attendees are encouraged to grab their dancing boots and head over to the Homestead Manor event barn from 7-11 p.m. for a dinner buffet and barn dance featuring country rock music from the Wes Cook Band. Complete with line dance instructors, the event will also highlight local spirits with tastings from H. Clark Distillery in addition to a cash bar and s’mores bonfire.

Tickets for the barn dance will be available at the door for $10 for adults, $5 for children ages four through 12, and complimentary for children ages three and younger. Those adults who wish to enjoy the dinner buffet as well can purchase a ticket for $20 per adult.

Harvest at Homestead Manor is located at 4683 Columbia Pike in Thompson’s Station. For more information on the restaurant and the Harvest Festival, visit www.homesteadmanor.com or www.facebook.com/homesteadmanor.
