For many, a longstanding holiday tradition is the sending and receiving of holiday greeting cards. Whether from business to business or friend to friend, this practice has been prevalent for quite some time, and a large number of the cards helping to usher in the holiday season in Middle Tennessee have been provided by the Phoenix Club.
The sheer volume of holiday cards being sent to friends, family, customers, and business partners, coupled with the cost of arranging for these cards to be sent presented an opportunity that the members of the Phoenix Club decided to pursue nearly 15 years ago. It served the dual purpose of raising money for their partner charities as well as cultivating relationships in the community with potential future donors. The Holiday Card Program proved to be so successful that for many years it was the sole source of fundraising for the Phoenix Club.
Over the years, the holiday card market has evolved with consumers wanting more options available to them along with a more user-friendly experience. The Phoenix Club saw an opportunity to grow market share and diversify itself from other local card programs by innovating the card design and sales process to better meet consumers. Launched in 2013, Zach Todd and Matt Nicholson created an interactive, online platform that provides an efficient, one-stop shopping experience which enables consumers to customize almost every aspect of the card from the design to the message. The Phoenix Club enhanced the program even further in 2014 by allowing card purchasers to select one of fifteen local, youth-based nonprofits to be the beneficiary of nearly 70% of the proceeds from their purchase. This latest enhancement has increased the Club’s reach and impact in Middle Tennessee as it has enabled the donation of thousands of dollars to these charities without any additional cost or effort on their part.
Since its inception nearly 15 years ago, the Phoenix Club has been able to raise over $400K through the Holiday Card Program for Middle Tennessee charities. The ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit of its members has enabled this program to grow in size year after year with a product that continues to outpace the competition. With over $45K raised in 2014, the Phoenix Club expects the Holiday Card Program to continue to be a driving force for philanthropy in Middle Tennessee for years to come.
How to Order Your Holiday Cards
View cards and place your order via www.phoenixclubofnashville.com and click on “Events/Fundraisers”, then select “Holiday Cards”. Then click a card image to link into the card ordering system.
Cards are $1.50 each, or just $1.85 each for custom cards (large volumes qualify for discounts)
Once your order is placed, it will take approximately 5 business days for your order to print and be ready for delivery. Allow 2-3 days for delivery, so approximately 8 business days total.
